Character Node
The Character node defines an AI character with consistent identity. Upload a face reference photo and describe their appearance - the same character will be maintained across all connected Image nodes.
How to Use
- Add a Character node from the Nodes panel in the left sidebar.
- Upload a face reference photo - a clear, front-facing, well-lit image works best.
- Fill in the character description: age, ethnicity, hair, build, and clothing.
- Connect the output handle to an Image node.
Fields
- Face Reference - Upload a photo. This is used by character-consistency models (FLUX Kontext, PuLID) to preserve identity.
- Character Name - Optional label for the node (e.g. "Sophie").
- Description - Text description of the character's appearance, clothing, and style.
Connections
A Character node can connect to:
- Image Node - provides face reference and description for generation.
One Character can connect to multiple Image nodes - reuse the same character across different scenes and compositions.
Tips
- Use a clean, neutral headshot for the best identity match.
- Describe clothing in the Character node to keep outfits consistent, or describe them per-scene in the Image node for variety.
- Include details like "light freckles" or "subtle smile" - the more specific, the better the consistency.
